Raindance...

by dennypoos @ Sunday, Jun. 07, 2009 - 05:05:24

...the rain-dance, performed by yours truly, has worked as we had a good drenching last night and by all accounts are to get the same tonight. My repaired,(re-seeded), and patched lawn stands a chance of coming good by looking like a lawn and not just a patchy patch of short grass.
I'm wondering whether the patches are caused by another resident's dog pissing on the lawn.

On another note altogether: Has anyone a gardening use for pine cones, as I've masses of them?

We have had lots of rain as well now. The garden did need it.

Pine cones, no thank you. :)

About time!
Put the pine cones in your underpants.

'Underpants', how quaint. I'd do this for what reason exactly?

Hi, You can stop dancing now, my garden is wet enough and the block pavings has flooded!

Use for pine cones, if you are A B.B.Q., enthusiast (not gas type) you can use them to add fragrance to the atmosphere prior to cooking (while you are getting it going).

If you are a snorer, a pine cone or two in the bed, (they did used to say cotton reels, but they are not so easy to find now!) to prevent you rolling over onto your back and beginging the nightly noise.

Dry again down here.

Like the BBQ idea.

Don't like the bed/snoring motif at all. Not at all.
